Pyjamas Day with our Buddies

Friday Morning Meeting

We are continuing to work on our Spoken Word as a priority, however, here are some learning activities that you may like to explore as we finish off Week 4, Maths Week. We can roll these over to next week - either in class or at home - depending on the decision by the government on our Alert Level announcements.

Thank you for your energy and engagement in driving your learning since our new Level 3 Lockdown was announced!

Well done - you are superstars Room 14!

Stay safe and be kind.

Here are some things that you may like to get busy with. Our Spoken Word Poems are the most important...remember to do the writing and editing by yourself - it needs to be your independent work!

Email if you need help!

In addition to Prodigy, Protect and Mathletics, we have the Maths Week website.  It is full of fabulous activities that you might like to have a go at.  The link is:

You can also find a link to this on the 'Driving Your Learning' slide that is on the home page of our class website (access this by clicking on the link at the top of this blog page.

Welcome Back to Term 2

Our Distance Learning

Welcome back to school, Room 14!

You can find the Week 1 and Week 2 Distance Learning Slidedeck for the Kauri Whanau:
  • on the 'Learning At Home' tab above,
  • on the Sunnyhills website on its own webpage called Distance Learning at Home.
  • in the emailed information sent to your parents (April 14) that contains the links to the Distance Learning page on our website.

You can be creative about how you share your learning. Remember we have our SHARED Google Drive where you can create your docs, slides, drawings or forms. Please make sure you name your files with your first name and activity name, then put it in the correct Shared Folder so that I can find it.

Let’s do this together! Happy learning Room 14.

Welcome to Room 14 Remote Learning!

We look forward to continuing a fantastic year of learning and growing together. With a positive 'can do' attitude and willingness to take risks in your learning, we will continue to learn to be reflective of our thinking. We'll identify what we do well and what we need to work on to grow. It starts with wanting to drive your learning and approach your learning positively.

Now that we are together 'differently' - we hope that you enjoy the blog posts and can share your learning in a new way with each other. The main avenue for learning activities will be through the website set up by Sunnyhills for remote learning. Mrs Driver will communicate how to access that when it is online.

Keep moving! Play nice! Keep safe! Be kind! Keep learning...

Orienteering

Orienteering is simply the best!
Mr and Mrs Cammell with the help of Mrs Knofflock and her daughter, Jess, provided a wonderfully challenging course of orienteering. The conditions were testing, hot and resilience building. Most of the learners pushed themselves to a satisfying completion - living the true meaning of climbing out of the ‘Learning Pit’.
